Dr. Keia Brown has worked in higher education for over 18 years, serving in numerous capacities at two-year, four-year public, and private institutions’ financial aid offices and currently oversees her institution’s Scholarship Unit and its centralized scholarship management system. Keia is an active Board of Directors for the National Scholarship Providers' Association (NSPA); a Women's Minority Mentor and has also been an Executive Board Member of the Delaware-District of Columbia-Maryland Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators and served as Chair during the 2020-2021 term.

She is the Associate Director of Scholarships at the University of Maryland College Park and also the founder of the Miss Collegiate USA Organization, a non-profit that affords young women across the country college-readiness, financial literacy and academic rewards through scholarships and grants. Keia was a #MoneyMatters contributor for The DC Ladies, and an international spokesperson and contributor of SponsorChange, an organization that helps provide funds for those seeking help to obtain money for educational support.
